
PROGRAMME
LABORATORY : Theoretical and Practical Workshops
- Illusionary perspective as a tool to design the architectural space
- Representation of the illusionary space and integrated digital survey techniques
- Decorative painting and architectural trompe l’oeil techniques
The LABORATORY is structured in ’slots’ : 2 per day of around 4 hours each, for a total of over 30 hours of intensive learning .
Each ‘slot’ focuses on a specific topic delivered through an initial short conference based on architectural scientific research, followed by practical intensive work on individual canvas.
Highly specialized SYLLABUS to impart the basic knowledge of the complex art of illusionary perspective by training creative minds to ‘think’ the space and break physical limits
A UNIQUE LEARNING EXPERIENCE which transforms participants’ vision of the architectural space
EACH PARTICIPANT LEARNS:
- the traditional artistic techniques of the illusionary art of Architectura Picta
- To analyze and comprehend the tricks of Architectura Picta o the basis of scientific research
- How to regenerate Architectura Picta in a modern language and use it in contemporary settings
RETURNING PARTICIPANTS WILL BE ABLE TO FOLLOW A DEDICATED ADVANCED SYLLABUS
FINAL ARTISTIC INSTALLATION: A perspective sketch drawn on the basis of scientific measurements obtained by the university of Florence 3d survey is divided into parts, each transferred on a large canvas and assigned to each participant. At the end of the event these parts are assembled to form a collective large artistic installation, then exhibited in Trinita’ dei Monti.
